"Uurglas" the Afrikaans for Hourglass - for every photo captured is a moment in the past, a grain of sand that slipped through the hourglass of our lives.

For me, I love that my photos captures a unique memory - a moment frozen in time, something that might not hold much emotion in the present.

But in time it will bring a smile... perhaps a tear...  to the face of the viewer: as it triggers long forgotten memories of places and faces, memories that would have been lost to the passage of time was it not that someone captured a photo.
